Paintless Dent Repair
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is an industry recognized repair process that involves the removal of hail dents, door dings, and other forms of minor body damage to a vehicle’s exterior surface panels without disturbing the factory finish. PDR technicians use specialized tools to push the metal back into its original shape from behind the dent. Depending on the location of the damage, the panel is accessed through the window or by removing trim pieces and inner panels. In areas that tools cannot access, the damage is repaired by bonding a “tab” to the exterior of the panel and pulling the dent from the topside.
By using either of these techniques, skilled technicians are able to restore panel appearance without refinishing the paint. PDR is environmentally friendly, and it is less expensive and results in faster repair time than traditional auto body repairs. It retains a vehicle’s original factory finish, which means the highest resale value is maintained.
